Appointments with almost 8500 psychotherapists and other specialists were arranged within the prescribed period. Due to the worsening shortage of doctors, however, appointments are increasingly unsuccessful within the prescribed period, said Saurwein.
It is particularly difficult to get an appointment with psychotherapists, psychiatrists / neurologists and rheumatologists. At least for the psychotherapists, however, this problem can easily be solved if the requirement planning is abolished, demands the professional representation of the statutory health insurance physicians and therapists. There are enough psychotherapists who are not approved because of these requirements.
According to the Social Security Code, the appointment service point should arrange a treatment appointment for insured persons within one week, the waiting time must not exceed four weeks. Continue reading
